Delaney Brown – Fourth Estate Special to Fourth Estate
Bluffdale, Utah, United States (4E) – Goal Zero, a solar power oriented battery company based in Utah, recalled it’s line of Street Charge solar-powered charging stations after reports of the top post falling off of three stations.
The weld connecting the top and bottom posts can fail and allow the top post to fall, posing an impact hazard to nearby consumers.
The station can charge up to six devices at a time and can be found around college campuses, stadiums and other public venues.
The recalled products were sold between October 2014 through February 2017 for between $5,500 and $10,000.
There are 118 units currently subject to recall.
